Hi, my name is Alexa and I am a nursing student at McGill University. I am not currently working in the hospital setting as I am focusing on my full-time studies. However, I have a great appreciation for all of the nurses who are currently working on the frontlines, risking their lives during COVID-19, caring for patients and contributing to their communities. Although I am not working in the hospital, I decided I wanted to share my knowledge and find a way to contribute to my community. I decided the best way would be to teach my grandparents, their friends and my older relatives on safe practices and how to stay safe during COVID-19, like hand hygiene, how to properly wear a mask, etc. I believe that health promotion and education is key during this time, especially for the older population who is more at risk and may not have access to all of the information.

Thank you to all the nurses for everything you do!
