The second batch of Taiwanese businessmen in Wuhan experienced numerous difficulties in returning on a charter flight back to Taiwan. Their journey back home was akin to a long voyage despite the close distance between China and Taiwan. The medical team in Taiwan waited patiently at Taoyuan International Airport and prayed anxiously for their return as the flight was repeatedly delayed. The medical team members felt jubilant following the plane’s safe landing but remained vigilant. To enable the 112 exhausted individuals to be relocated to an appropriate location and receive some much-needed rest as soon as possible, the logistics officers demonstrated expert teamwork and guided each individual back home safely. This journey back to Taiwan was all the more special because of the pandemic and is an experience worth cherishing.
