Amidst COVID-19 outbreak and during the lockdown period of COVID 19 Indian Nursing Council has taken an initiative to bring out the webinar series on COVID-19 : nurses perspectives (photos attached and video placed in INC website i.e. www.indiannursingcouncil.org).
Nurses being the front line Health Care Workers (HCW) Webinar series were developed to upscale the training of nurses to enhance their preparedness and readiness to effectively respond to the pandemic outbreak of a novel corona virus infection (COVID-19).
Till Date 5 series of webinars have been planned of which three have been conducted & 4th is in process.
The series covered Infection prevention and control in the context of COVID-19 and includes Facts and myths about COVID-19, Preparedness, readiness and response for COVID-19 ( Early detection, response and referral), Infection prevention and control (IPC) for COVID-19 and Home care of patients ( Safe practices at home and home quarantine).
First Webseries starts from 3rd April 2020 at 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
1. The topic was on Preparedness, readiness and response for COVID-19 and the speaker was Lt Col (Dr) Sarvjeet Kaur, Secretary, Indian Nursing Council
2. The topic was on COVID 19 facts and myths preparedness, readiness and response and the speaker was Dr. Punitha, Ezhilarasu Ex. Prof. in Nursing at Christian Medical College, Vellore, Tamilnadu & Sr. Consultant in Indian Nursing Council
